REVIEWS:
"['The Last Voyage'] is an exciting, well-acted adventure
about a sinking luxury liner. Edmond O'Brien is a standout
among the good cast. If you liked 'The Poseidon Adventure'
and 'Titanic', then check out 'The Last Voyage'."
-- David Von Pein; December 7, 2001
"We have to hand it to [director/writer Andrew L. Stone]; he
has put together a picture that has drama, conviction and suspense. ....
He has got an extraordinary feeling of the actuality of being aboard a
ship, the creeping terror of a disaster, the agony of a great vessel's
death. And in all of his performers, especially Miss [Dorothy] Malone,
he has got a moving reflection of frenzy, futility and fear. George Sanders
is good as the captain who struggles bravely and calmly to maintain hope,
Mr. [Woody] Strode is fine as a valiant oiler and Mr. [Edmond] O'Brien
strikes fire as an engineer. Mr. [Robert] Stack is credible as the husband
and little Miss [Tammy] Marihugh does very well for a youngster who
has to act out a lengthy scene of terror. .... '[The] Last Voyage'
provides thrills and suspense."
