REVIEWS:
"1961's 'The Day The Earth Caught Fire' is a really good film, and a
rare one in the sense that it's a doomsday/disaster movie with a lot
of character development among its fine roster of actors. And it's also
a smart, intelligent, extremely well-written sci-fi drama. You don't
often see those traits successfully co-existing in a motion picture
of this genre, but producer/director Val Guest does a splendid job
of blending those elements here."
